Gustav Mahler: Symphony No 2 ”Resurrection"

This is where it finally culminates, from the desolation of earthly death to the gates of heaven. From the funeral march of all time to the ecstatic praise of eternal life, Gustav Mahler's great second symphony spares neither sentimentality nor sound masses. The Tampere Philharmonia reaches the pinnacle of its spring season with a celebration of a huge orchestra, a large choir, and world-class soloists under the baton of Chief Conductor Matthew Halls.

The concert is part of the orchestra's subscriber series, which includes a Pre-concert talk (Teokset tutuiksi) at 6 p.m. and childcare (Lapsiparkki, 10 €) at 6:45 p.m.

There is no intermission in the concert. The concert ends around 8:40 p.m.
