Tampere Philharmonic Orchestra invites applications for the positions of:

• Assistant principal viola
• Co-principal bassoon
• Principal and assistant principal cello

ASSISTANT PRINCIPAL VIOLA (3rd chair, 12 musicians in the group)

Application period starts on 5 March 2025. Application deadline is 6 April 2025 at 23:59 (11:59 PM, UTC+3).

The position is permanent, and work begins on 6 August 2025 or as agreed. Applications are to be submitted only through the electronic form that opens here on 5 March 2025.

Audition on Monday, 5 May at 10 am (Finnish summer time, UTC+3) at Tampere Hall for those invited to audition based on the applications. Invitations to the audition and a link to the required audition repertoire will be sent to the applicants by 11 April 2025.

CO-PRINCIPAL BASSOON

Application period starts on 10 March 2025. Application deadline is 20 April at 23:59 (11:59 PM, Finnish summer time UTC+3). The position is permanent, and work begins on 6 August 2025 or as agreed. The vacancy comes with an obligation to play secondary instruments (contrabassoon).

Applications are to be submitted only through the electronic form that opens here on 10 March 2025.

• Our auditions are open to all nationalities.
• Please do not send us a tape unless we ask for one. The candidates are invited personally to the audition by e-mail after the application time.
• Tampere Philharmonic Orchestra will not provide any compensation for travel or accommodation expenses.
• Tampere Philharmonic Orchestra will provide a pianist for the auditions.
• Our orchestra tunes to a1 = 442 Hz.
