Kati Tuominen-Heroja
Kati Tuominen-Heroja began her violin studies at Hyvinkää Music Institute with Ms. Riitta Ivars. She continued studying at Lahti Conservatory in the class of Mr. Pertti Sutinen which led to studies in Boston (USA). She studied with Ms. Zinaida Gilels and completed Artist Diploma under the guidance of Ms. Laura Bossert in 2003. During her studies in Boston she was accepted to Tanglewood Music Center Fellowship program in 1999 and 2000.
Tuominen-Heroja has studied chamber music with Juilliard String Quartet, Emanuel Ax, Pavel Vernikov and Victor Rosenbaum among others. She has performed as a soloist and chamber musician in Finland and the United States. Tuominen-Heroja completed her Master of Music at the Sibelius Academy Helsinki in 2004. She was appointed as the 1st violin section player in Tampere Filharmonia in 2007. She is also the 1st violin of the FINESTre string quartet founded in 2008.

Since 2007
